Exhibition Information: The 134Th Canton Fair Is About To Open

Recently, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the relevant information of the 134th China Import and Export Commodities Fair (Canton Fair). Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the 134th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, and the online platform will continue to operate normally.

New changes and highlights of Canton Fair

Larger exhibition area

Compared with the previous session, it increased by 50000 square meters, and the total area of Phase III reached 1.55 million square meters. The number of exhibition areas has increased to 55, correspondingly expanding the exhibition theme of new energy vehicles and smart travel, new materials and chemical products. The two exhibition areas of building materials and sanitary ware were transferred from the first phase to the second phase, and the five exhibition areas of toys, maternity, baby and children's products were transferred from the second phase to the third phase to improve the level of specialization.

More exhibitors and better quality

More than 4900 enterprises participated in the Canton Fair for the first time. Among the exhibitors, there are about 4600 high-quality enterprises with the titles of "Little Giant", national high-tech enterprises and so on. The structure of exhibits was further optimized. There were more than 200 new product debuts and debuts. Exhibitors brought about 680000 new exhibits, including about 100000 new energy, industrial automation and other high-tech, high-value new exhibits.

It is more convenient for purchasers to attend the meeting

It has carried out extensive investment attraction through 224 business institutions of Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, 67 foreign consulates general in Guangzhou, and 189 global partners of the Canton Fair. Coordinate all embassies and consulates to open "green channels" to improve visa efficiency. In cooperation with China Southern Airlines and Qatar Airlines, we have launched measures such as enjoying discount of air tickets with the registration certificate of the Canton Fair.

More optimized service guarantee

A total of 237 registration points were set up in the exhibition hall, hotel and airport, 140 more than the previous one. From October 12, the certificate will be handled 24 hours on site, so that overseas purchasers can easily handle the certificate once they get off the plane and arrive at the hotel. Increase traffic facilitation, increase the capacity of subway and bus, improve emergency traffic measures, and add guidance signs to make the travel of exhibitors more smooth.

More accurate online docking

Improve 101 functions of the online platform to facilitate exhibitors to inquire about purchase intention and manage business opportunities. Highlight the characteristics of exhibits, add industry attribute parameters, and facilitate online search of purchasers. Realize linkage with offline exhibitions, organize purchasers to conduct online pre docking and pre matching before the exhibition, improve the efficiency of docking between supply and purchase parties, and better promote the transaction.

More supporting activities

Two professional forums on green trade and trade digitalization, five industry forums on electronic appliances and medical devices, and more than 10 "bridge of trade" trade promotion activities will be held. We continued to hold the Design Innovation Award of the Canton Fair, and in 2023, there were 141 award-winning products. A trade service zone was set up, and more than 200 institutions including logistics and warehousing, financial services, testing and certification were invited to participate in the exhibition.
